Job Description
We are building the operating system for the future. Nexus Horizon is seeking a visionary Lead Generative AI Architect to spearhead our R&D initiatives aimed at defining the technological landscape of 2026. You will lead a team of elite engineers in designing next-generation autonomous agents, advanced Large Language Models (LLMs), and multimodal AI systems that solve complex, real-world problems.
In this pivotal role, you won't just implement existing models; you will architect the foundational infrastructure that powers our proprietary AI ecosystem. If you are passionate about pushing the boundaries of artificial general intelligence (AGI) and have a knack for translating abstract concepts into scalable, high-performance software, we want to meet you.
Responsibilities
- Architectural Leadership: Design and oversee the development of robust, scalable LLM pipelines and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures optimized for production environments.
- Model Innovation: Lead research and implementation of cutting-edge generative models, focusing on efficiency, reasoning capabilities, and safety alignment.
- Team Mentorship: Cultivate a high-performance engineering culture by mentoring junior data scientists and senior engineers alike.
- Infrastructure Strategy: Define the MLOps strategy and cloud infrastructure requirements to support high-throughput model training and inference.
- Strategic Roadmapping: Collaborate with product leadership to translate 2026 technical roadmaps into actionable engineering milestones.
- Performance Optimization: Continuously optimize model latency, memory footprint, and cost-efficiency to ensure seamless user experiences.
Qualifications
- Education: Masterβs or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3+ years leading AI/ML teams and projects.
- Technical Proficiency: Deep expertise in Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX. Strong understanding of transformer architectures and deep learning principles.
- Framework Mastery: Hands-on experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face, and vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus).
- Problem Solving: Proven track record of solving complex engineering challenges in high-scale distributed systems.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
