Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies, consumer behavior shifts, and macroeconomic trends through 2026
- Develop and maintain a strategic foresight framework with 5-year scenario planning capabilities
- Collaborate with C-suite executives to integrate foresight into corporate strategy and R&D priorities
- Facilitate innovation workshops using design thinking and speculative prototyping methodologies
- Translate complex future scenarios into product roadmaps and market entry strategies
- Build and curate an external network of futurists, technologists, and industry disruptors
- Present strategic insights to stakeholders through compelling narratives and data visualizations
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Strategic Foresight, Innovation Management, Technology Forecasting, or related field
- 8+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurist roles with Fortune 500 experience
- Expertise in trend analysis, scenario planning, and emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech)
- Proven track record of implementing future-oriented strategies that drive measurable business impact
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences
- Published thought leadership in foresight journals or industry publications
- Proficiency in foresight tools (e.g., Delphi method, STEEP analysis, horizon scanning platforms)
- Deep understanding of global megatrends affecting US markets through 2030
