Responsibilities
- Analyze global megatrends (AI, quantum computing, biotech) to forecast 2026+ market landscapes and competitive threats
- Develop and communicate strategic innovation roadmaps aligning with C-suite vision and shareholder expectations
- Lead scenario-planning workshops with engineering, product, and marketing teams to prepare for future disruptions
- Build and maintain a network of industry futurists, VCs, and academic pioneers to identify emerging opportunities
- Translate complex future scenarios into actionable R&D priorities and product development timelines
- Present quarterly foresight briefings to executive board with data-backed strategic recommendations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Technology Strategy, or MBA with specialization in innovation management
- 8+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or corporate foresight at Fortune 500 level
- Proven track record of developing and implementing future-proof business strategies
- Expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and technology forecasting methodologies
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to articulate complex future concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (AI/ML, blockchain, synthetic biology)
- Published thought leadership in innovation or futures publications preferred
