Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology, neurotech) and geopolitical trends to forecast 2026+ market disruptions
- Develop strategic foresight frameworks and scenario-planning models for board-level decision-making
- Lead cross-functional 'Horizon Scanning' initiatives with MIT Media Lab and NASA JPL partners
- Architect innovation roadmaps integrating Web3, AI ethics, and climate tech convergence
- Present quarterly futures briefings to investors and government innovation councils
- Mentor junior futurists and curate the annual 'Future Forward' symposium
- Patent novel forecasting methodologies and publish in Nature Futures journal
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Theory, or Quantitative Economics (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic foresight with Fortune 500 or government innovation agencies
- Expertise in predictive analytics tools (Palantir, Trendalyzer, Gartner Hype Cycle)
- Published research in exponential technology convergence (AI+biotech+energy)
- Deep network with Singularity University, Future Today Institute, and DARPA
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful 5-year technology predictions
