Responsibilities
- Develop 3-5 year technology roadmaps aligning with market trends and business objectives
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies (Web4.0, neural interfaces, etc.) for strategic adoption
- Lead R&D partnerships with MIT, Stanford, and global innovation hubs
- Present technology forecasts to executive stakeholders and investor boards
- Oversee prototyping of next-gen solutions in our Austin innovation lab
- Build and mentor a high-performing future-tech task force
- Drive patent development for proprietary innovations
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning or innovation leadership
- Proven track record in emerging tech adoption (AI/blockchain/quantum)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business
- Experience with scenario planning and horizon scanning methodologies
- Strong network within global tech ecosystems (Silicon Valley, Shenzhen, etc.)
- Expertise in regulatory frameworks for emerging technologies
- Certified Futurist (CF) or similar designation preferred
- Portfolio of implemented future-tech initiatives
