Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Lead research on emerging technologies (quantum computing, AI ethics, biotech convergence)
- Design strategic partnerships with academic institutions and tech incubators
- Present technology forecasts to C-suite executives and investors
- Oversee implementation of pilot programs for disruptive innovations
- Anticipate regulatory impacts and ethical implications of future technologies
- Mentor junior strategists in future-thinking methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership
- Proven track record in forecasting tech trends (minimum 3 major predictions)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurism
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI, blockchain, IoT, etc.)
- Certified Futurist (CF) or equivalent strategic planning certification
- Experience with scenario planning and horizon scanning methodologies
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in predictive modeling tools
- Exceptional communication skills for executive presentations
