Responsibilities
- Develop and implement long-term technology roadmaps for 2026+ across AI, quantum systems, and biotech integration
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype breakthrough solutions with 3-5 year commercialization horizons
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and tech incubators for R&D acceleration
- Conduct horizon scanning of emerging technologies to identify disruptive threats and opportunities
- Present technology strategy to executive stakeholders and board members with compelling data narratives
- Manage a $5M+ innovation portfolio with ROI tracking and risk mitigation frameworks
- Mentor a team of future-focused engineers and product designers
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership with proven 5+ year horizon planning success
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: quantum computing, generative AI, or neurotech
- Strong background in ethical technology frameworks and responsible innovation practices
- Experience securing multi-million dollar innovation budgets and managing complex stakeholder ecosystems
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (PhD preferred)
- Published thought leadership in technology foresight or innovation strategy
- Track record of launching at least one breakthrough technology product to market
- Certification in technology foresight methodologies (e.g., Horizon Scanning, Delphi Technique)
