Responsibilities
- Lead identification, evaluation, and integration of emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) relevant to 2026 market needs
- Develop and maintain a strategic technology roadmap aligned with 5-year business objectives
- Conduct horizon scanning and competitive analysis to anticipate technological disruptions
- Drive cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype and validate future-facing solutions
- Present strategic technology recommendations to executive leadership and board members
- Manage a portfolio of strategic innovation projects with $5M+ annual budget
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and tech startups for early-stage technology adoption
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; PhD preferred
- 10+ years in technology strategy, innovation management, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of implementing emerging technologies in enterprise environments
- Deep expertise in at least three of these domains: AI/ML, quantum computing, blockchain, AR/VR, or synthetic biology
- Exceptional strategic thinking with ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value
- Experience managing innovation budgets exceeding $3M annually
- Published thought leadership in technology or innovation publications
- Strong network within Silicon Valley tech ecosystem
