Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with market trends and scientific breakthroughs
- Conduct horizon scanning for emerging technologies (quantum, AI, neurotech, synthetic biology) and assess commercial viability
- Architect strategic partnerships with academic institutions and R&D labs to accelerate innovation cycles
- Develop governance frameworks for ethical implementation of disruptive technologies
- Create scenario models for technology adoption across healthcare, energy, and transportation sectors
- Present strategic recommendations to executive leadership and board of directors
- Mentor junior strategists in future-thinking methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Technology Strategy, Futures Studies, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic planning or emerging technology roles within tech or biotech sectors
- Proven track record of forecasting technology adoption trends with 85%+ accuracy
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (quantum computing, AI ethics, neurotech, etc.)
- Experience developing technology roadmaps for Fortune 500 companies or government agencies
- Exceptional systems thinking and scenario planning capabilities
- Strong network within global innovation ecosystems (Silicon Valley, Cambridge, Singapore)
