Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging technology trends (quantum computing, AI ethics, biotech convergence) and assess commercial viability
- Develop 3-5 year technology roadmaps aligned with organizational growth targets
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype future-facing solutions
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and tech pioneers
- Present technology forecasts and recommendations to executive leadership
- Build and mentor a high-performing future technologies task force
- Secure and manage R&D budgets for experimental initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies
- Deep expertise in at least two future-tech domains (e.g., quantum, AR/VR, neuromorphic computing)
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to translate complex concepts into actionable strategies
- Experience developing technology roadmaps for Fortune 500 companies
- Strong network within tech innovation ecosystems and venture capital
- Certification in technology forecasting or innovation management (e.g., CDIO)
