- Develop and implement 3-5 year technology roadmaps aligned with market forecasts and business objectives
- Analyze emerging technologies (quantum, AI, biotech) for competitive integration opportunities
- Lead cross-functional workshops to forecast industry shifts and disruption vectors
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite stakeholders with data-driven impact assessments
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and innovation labs for R&D collaboration
- Monitor geopolitical and regulatory trends affecting tech adoption landscapes
- Mentor junior strategists in future-proof methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Technology Strategy, Computer Science, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic planning for emerging technologies or innovation consulting
- Proven track record of forecasting tech trends with 85%+ accuracy
- Expertise in at least two of: AI ethics, quantum computing applications, or climate tech
- Experience developing scenario-planning frameworks for volatile markets
- Certification in Futures Thinking or Technology Foresight (e.g., from APF or Foresight Practitioners)
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
