Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning for emerging technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI) and assess commercial viability
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Direct cross-functional R&D initiatives in futuristic domains including neuromorphic computing and ambient interfaces
- Build strategic partnerships with academic institutions and tech incubators focused on 2026+ innovations
- Present technology forecasts and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and board members
- Establish ethical frameworks for emerging technologies and guide responsible innovation practices
- Lead patent strategy for breakthrough technologies and protect intellectual property portfolios
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Technology Strategy, Computer Science, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or innovation management
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (quantum, AI, biotech)
- Deep expertise in at least two future technology domains (e.g., quantum algorithms, neurotech)
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex technical and market data
- Experience presenting to C-suite executives and board-level stakeholders
- Certification in Technology Foresight or Strategic Innovation Management
- Published thought leadership on future technology trends (IEEE, Nature, etc.)
