- Lead horizon scanning for emerging technologies (quantum, AI ethics, neurotech) and assess commercial viability
- Design innovation roadmaps with 3-5 year implementation timelines for R&D and product teams
- Establish strategic partnerships with research labs, startups, and academic institutions
- Present technology forecasts and strategic recommendations to C-suite and board members
- Drive adoption of emerging tech through pilot programs and proof-of-concept initiatives
- Mentor cross-functional teams on future technology implications and opportunities
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D, or innovation leadership with Fortune 500 or high-growth tech companies
- Proven track record in developing multi-year technology roadmaps for emerging domains
- Deep expertise in at least two future-tech domains: quantum computing, AGI, biotech, or climate tech
- Strong analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex technical and market data
- Exceptional communication skills for translating technical concepts to executive stakeholders
- MBA or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred

- Experience securing $1M+ R&D budgets for experimental technology initiatives
