Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 2026 technology roadmaps aligned with market disruptions and emerging innovations
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype and validate future-facing solutions in AI, quantum computing, and biotech
- Conduct horizon-scanning research to identify paradigm-shifting technologies with 3-5 year commercialization potential
- Design strategic partnerships with academic institutions and government labs to accelerate future-tech adoption
- Present future-state scenarios to executive stakeholders and secure $50M+ annual innovation budgets
- Establish KPI frameworks to measure long-term strategic impact beyond conventional metrics
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic planning or technology innovation with proven 2020+ horizon planning experience
- Expertise in exponential technologies (AI/ML, quantum, synthetic biology) and their commercial applications
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Strategic Innovation (PhD/MBA preferred)
- Portfolio showcasing successful future-tech initiatives with measurable market impact
- Deep network within DARPA, IEEE Future Directions, or equivalent innovation ecosystems
- Certification in Futures Thinking (e.g., from WFS or Foresight Professionals) strongly preferred
- Exceptional storytelling abilities to translate complex futures into stakeholder narratives
