- Secure $5M+ annual R&D budget through stakeholder presentations
- Establish patent portfolios for proprietary 2026-ready solutions
- Mentor junior futurists in scenario planning methodologies
- Report directly to Chief Innovation Officer on strategic progress
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic tech planning with Fortune 500 experience
- Proven track record launching products with 3+ year lead times
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, neurotech, or synthetic biology)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies
- Certification in Technology Foresight or Strategic Innovation Management
- Published research on exponential technology adoption patterns
- Experience securing federal innovation grants (SBIR/STTR preferred)
