We are looking for a motivated Entry Level Human Resources Associate to join our team in Portland, OR. This is an exciting opportunity for recent graduates or career changers to launch a career in Human Resources without requiring prior experience. In this role, you will support our HR department with various day-to-day operations, including recruitment, employee onboarding, and maintaining personnel files. You will work closely with experienced HR professionals who will mentor you as you develop your skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the full-cycle recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews for hiring managers.
- Conduct new employee orientations and facilitate the onboarding process to ensure a seamless transition for new hires.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and personnel files in compliance with company policies.
- Communicate effectively with candidates and employees regarding HR policies, benefits, and general inquiries.
- Support the HR department with data entry, payroll support, and benefits administration.
- Assist in organizing company events, employee engagement activities, and training sessions.
- Research market trends to assist in salary benchmarking and talent acquisition strategies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS software.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-solving mindset and a genuine interest in helping others succeed.
- Must be willing to work in our Portland office.
