As a Trainee, you will undergo structured on-the-job training to master the essentials of retail banking. You will learn to manage daily operations, handle customer transactions with precision, and build lasting relationships with our community members.
Responsibilities
- Master Cash Handling: Learn to accurately count, verify, and balance cash drawers, as well as process deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments.
- Customer Service Excellence: Greet customers warmly, answer inquiries regarding account balances and products, and resolve issues with patience and professionalism.
- Operational Support: Assist in opening new accounts, explaining account disclosures, and performing routine clerical duties to ensure branch efficiency.
- Technology Proficiency: Utilize the bank's core software and POS systems to execute transactions quickly and accurately.
- Security Compliance: Adhere to all bank security protocols, including identifying fraudulent documents and protecting customer information.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with teller supervisors and other team members to maintain a smooth workflow during peak hours.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Business or Finance is a plus.
- Experience: Previous customer service experience is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated candidates with a strong work ethic.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent verbal communication skills, and a professional demeanor.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and operate standard office equipment.
- Integrity: Must pass a background check and possess a high level of trust and reliability.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
