Responsibilities
- Process Transactions: Accurately handle cash deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and wire transfers for customers.
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, answer inquiries regarding accounts, and resolve issues with a positive attitude.
- Account Management: Assist in opening new accounts and explaining products and services to clients.
- Technical Operations: Learn and utilize the bank’s core processing software and ATM maintenance procedures.
- Compliance: Adhere to all banking regulations, security protocols, and audit requirements.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with branch managers and fellow tellers to ensure efficient branch operations.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business preferred.
- Experience: Previous customer service experience is a plus; training provided for the right candidates.
- Skills: Strong basic math skills and the ability to handle money with high accuracy.
- Reliability: Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Computer Proficiency: Comfortable learning new banking software systems.
