Responsibilities
- Design and implement ethical governance frameworks for autonomous decision-making systems
- Conduct bias audits and algorithmic impact assessments for high-stakes AI applications
- Develop industry-first transparency protocols for explainable AI in healthcare and finance
- Advocate for ethical AI standards through policy whitepapers and congressional testimony
- Lead cross-functional sprints with engineering teams to embed ethical guardrails
- Establish KPIs for responsible AI deployment across 50+ enterprise partners
- Mentor junior ethicists through our AI Ethics Fellowship program
Qualifications
- PhD in Ethics, Philosophy, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years developing AI governance frameworks for regulated industries
- Published research on algorithmic bias mitigation or explainable AI
- Proficiency with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and bias detection tools
- Experience testifying before regulatory bodies or drafting policy recommendations
- Certification in Responsible AI from IEEE or ACM (preferred)
- Portfolio demonstrating ethical impact on deployed AI systems
