Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis for 2026+ technology landscapes (quantum, AI ethics, biotech convergence)
- Develop and maintain a strategic technology roadmap aligned with 5-year market forecasts
- Collaborate with R&D teams to prototype and validate emerging technology applications
- Present future technology scenarios to C-suite executives and investment committees
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and tech labs to access breakthrough research
- Author thought leadership publications on technological disruption and future-proofing strategies
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Futures Studies, or related field
- 5+ years in technology strategy, R&D, or emerging technology research
- Proven expertise in forecasting methodologies (Delphi, scenario planning, etc.)
- Deep understanding of at least three emerging tech domains: quantum computing, AGI ethics, or neurotech
- Published research or speaking engagements at major tech conferences (TED, Web Summit, etc.)
- Experience translating theoretical concepts into commercial product roadmaps
- Portfolio demonstrating future technology impact assessments or trend analysis projects
