Responsibilities
- Architect and execute the 2026-2030 global innovation strategy, aligning with UN SDGs and emerging tech trends
- Lead moonshot projects in quantum computing applications, synthetic biology, and decentralized AI systems
- Manage a $15M annual innovation budget with ROI-focused resource allocation
- Establish strategic partnerships with MIT Media Lab, DeepMind, and national research institutions
- Present futuristic roadmaps to C-suite and board stakeholders quarterly
- Mentor a 15-person multidisciplinary innovation team of PhDs and industry veterans
- Develop patent portfolios for breakthrough technologies with >90% commercialization potential
Qualifications
- 15+ years in strategic innovation, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting with Fortune 500/tech scale-ups
- Proven track record of launching at least 3 market-defining technologies in the last decade
- Deep expertise in quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, or carbon capture technologies
- Published thought leadership in Nature Futures or MIT Technology Review
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Bioengineering from Tier 1 institution
- Fluency in futures forecasting methodologies (e.g., Delphi, scenario planning)
- Experience securing >$50M in innovation grants from NSF, DARPA, or EU Horizon Europe
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum circuit simulation tools
