Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 technology innovation roadmap aligning with corporate vision
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen solutions (AI, quantum, IoT)
- Secure $5M+ annual R&D budget through compelling business cases
- Establish industry partnerships with academic institutions and tech pioneers
- Drive patent portfolio development (15+ filings annually)
- Mentor innovation lab directors and technical specialists
- Report quarterly to board on innovation KPIs and ROI
Qualifications
- 15+ years in tech innovation with 5+ years in strategic leadership
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science/Engineering preferred
- Proven track record scaling R&D teams to 50+ members
- Published research in IEEE/ACM journals (minimum 3 papers)
- Expertise in emerging tech: generative AI, quantum algorithms, carbon-neutral tech
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants
- Fluency in Mandarin or Japanese (for APAC partnerships)
