Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging tech, societal shifts, and market disruptions to forecast 2026+ landscape
- Develop strategic frameworks for AI integration, quantum computing adoption, and sustainable innovation
- Lead cross-functional workshops to align departments on future-state opportunities
- Produce annual 'Horizon Scan' reports with data-driven trend analysis and risk assessments
- Partner with product teams to embed future-proofing into development lifecycles
- Represent the company at global futurist forums and industry summits
- Mentor junior strategists on scenario planning and horizon scanning methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or trend analysis
- Expertise in scenario planning, Delphi methods, and horizon scanning frameworks
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercial strategy
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, biotech, quantum, etc.)
- Exceptional data visualization and storytelling capabilities
- Strong network within futurist communities (WFS, APF, etc.)
- Published thought leadership in future-oriented publications
