Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive 2026 technology foresight framework using trend analysis and scenario planning
- Produce quarterly strategic briefings on disruptive innovations (quantum AI, neurotech, climate engineering)
- Partner with R&D teams to accelerate prototyping of future-critical technologies
- Lead cross-functional 'Horizon Scanning' initiatives identifying emerging market opportunities
- Present innovation roadmaps to C-suite and board stakeholders with data-driven recommendations
- Mentor junior futurists and establish industry thought leadership through published research
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Technology Forecasting, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Minimum 5 years in strategic innovation or technology foresight role at Fortune 500 or scale-up
- Proven expertise in scenario planning and horizon scanning methodologies
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI)
- Exceptional presentation skills with executive-level experience
- Certification in Foresight Methodologies (e.g., from APF or WFS) strongly preferred
- Portfolio demonstrating published trend analysis or strategic foresight projects
