Job Description
Join NexaLabs at the frontier of technological evolution as we pioneer quantum solutions for 2026's most complex challenges. We're seeking a visionary Quantum Computing Research Scientist to architect breakthrough systems that will redefine computational boundaries. In this pivotal role, you'll collaborate with Nobel laureates and industry disruptors to develop quantum algorithms, error-correction protocols, and hybrid quantum-classical frameworks. Your work will directly shape the next generation of cryptography, drug discovery, and AI optimization.
We offer unparalleled resources including our 128-qubit quantum processor, exclusive partnerships with MIT and CERN, and a culture where curiosity is currency. As we prepare for the quantum revolution by 2026, your expertise will be instrumental in solving problems currently deemed impossible.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction techniques to stabilize quantum systems beyond 1000 qubits
- Lead cross-functional teams in building hybrid quantum-classical architectures
- Research novel quantum hardware interfaces for commercial deployment by 2026
- Author breakthrough publications in top-tier journals and conference proceedings
- Collaborate with government agencies on quantum security standards
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science from Tier 1 institution
- 5+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Expertise in superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Deep understanding of quantum complexity classes (BQP, QMA)
- Proven track record of securing NSF or DoE quantum research grants
- Experience with quantum annealing and D-Wave systems
