Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop quantum error correction protocols to enhance qubit coherence and gate fidelity
- Collaborate with hardware teams to benchmark and improve quantum processor performance
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning and hybrid quantum-classical systems
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at major international conferences
- Secure federal and corporate grants to expand quantum research initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of quantum research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and simulation frameworks
- Demonstrated expertise in quantum algorithm design and complexity analysis
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and quantum mechanics
