Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-correction protocols for scalable quantum processors
- Lead interdisciplinary teams of physicists and engineers on hardware-software integration
- Publish 2-3 peer-reviewed papers annually in Nature/Science journals
- Secure $2M+ in government and private research funding
- Mentor PhD candidates through our Quantum Innovation Fellowship program
- Collaborate with MIT and Stanford on quantum networking standards
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum specialization
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum hardware (superconducting/ion trap)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit simulation frameworks
- Demonstrated success securing NSF or DOE grants
- Expertise in machine learning applications for quantum systems
- Patent portfolio in quantum technologies preferred
