Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome customers as they enter the store, providing a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Assist customers in locating products and answering questions about merchandise, features, and pricing.
- Process sales transactions accurately using the POS system, including handling cash and credit payments.
- Uphold store appearance standards by organizing merchandise, restocking shelves, and maintaining a clean shopping environment.
- Identify and suggest add-on sales or upsell opportunities to increase the average transaction value.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily sales goals and store targets.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, escalating complex issues to management when necessary.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse customers.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and inventory management.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
- Reliable and punctual with a flexible availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
