Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers with a friendly, professional demeanor to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Understand product features and benefits to effectively upsell and cross-sell merchandise.
- Maintain the visual standards of the store, including organizing shelves, displays, and stockrooms.
- Collaborate with the sales team to achieve daily and weekly sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns with patience and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; prior retail or sales experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
- Basic math skills for handling cash and processing transactions.
- Ability to stand and move around the sales floor for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
