Responsibilities
- Assist in Data Collection: Gather and compile data from various internal and external sources to ensure a comprehensive dataset for analysis.
- Data Cleaning & Preparation: Utilize Excel and SQL to identify and rectify errors, missing values, and inconsistencies in raw data.
- Visual Reporting: Create clear, concise, and visually appealing charts, graphs, and dashboards (using tools like Tableau or Power BI) to present findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Trend Analysis: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights into emerging trends and patterns to support strategic planning.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of data sources, methodologies, and analysis processes for future reference.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide actionable recommendations.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) and basic knowledge of SQL or Python is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to spot errors and ensure high data accuracy.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex data to a general audience.
- Problem Solving: Proactive mindset with a strong desire to learn new analytical techniques and tools.
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time hours on-site in New York City.
