Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain 2026 technology horizon scanning frameworks across AI, biotech, quantum computing, and climate tech
- Produce quarterly trend reports with actionable strategic recommendations for executive leadership
- Lead cross-functional workshops to embed future-thinking into product roadmaps and R&D pipelines
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and innovation labs for scenario planning
- Design and implement organizational foresight methodologies including Delphi studies and wild card analysis
- Present strategic briefings to investors and board members on emerging market opportunities
- Mentor junior futurists and curate a future-focused internal knowledge repository
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years experience in innovation strategy or trend analysis at Fortune 500 or VC-backed startups
- Proven expertise in scenario planning and horizon scanning methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies and their societal implications
- Exceptional storytelling abilities with experience presenting to C-level audiences
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation (white papers, journals, books)
- Certification in strategic foresight (e.g., CFM, APF) or equivalent practical experience
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ future-focused projects with measurable business impact
