Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 3-5 year innovation roadmaps aligned with emerging technology trends (AI, quantum computing, biotech)
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify disruptive opportunities and market shifts
- Facilitate strategic workshops with executive stakeholders to translate foresight into actionable plans
- Manage a portfolio of experimental projects with $2M+ annual R&D budget
- Build and mentor an innovation lab team of 8-12 specialists
- Present findings to investors, boards, and industry forums
- Drive organizational adoption of future-ready practices and tools
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record of launching disruptive products/services (portfolio required)
- Deep expertise in emerging technologies and trend analysis methodologies
- Executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Technology, Business, or related field
- Certification in foresight methodologies (e.g., CFM, CFS) preferred
- Experience scaling innovation teams in high-growth environments
- Published thought leadership in future trends or innovation strategy
