Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome patients, visitors, and staff with a professional, friendly, and energetic demeanor.
- Answer incoming phone calls and route them to the appropriate department or personnel promptly.
- Manage the front desk area, ensuring it remains clean, organized, and welcoming at all times.
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the administrative calendar using practice management software.
- Process patient check-ins and check-outs, verifying demographic and insurance information accurately.
- Assist with data entry, filing, and maintaining accurate, up-to-date medical records.
- Handle incoming inquiries via email or in-person with patience and professionalism.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; additional administrative training is a plus.
- Previous experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role is preferred.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer navigation.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Must demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a positive attitude.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology is highly desirable but not mandatory.
