Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome visitors and patients warmly, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Answer and redirect incoming phone calls and emails with professionalism and efficiency.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including verifying insurance information and collecting co-pays.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments using practice management software.
- Sort and distribute incoming mail and manage outgoing correspondence.
- Maintain the reception area and waiting room to ensure a clean and organized environment.
- Assist with basic administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining patient records.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; additional certification in medical reception is a plus.
- Previous experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and practice management software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
