Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and check cashing with speed and accuracy.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system and handle cash drawers, ensuring all daily balancing is performed.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities to introduce customers to our suite of financial products, such as mortgages and credit cards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure branch environment to ensure the safety of assets and staff.
- Resolve customer inquiries and escalate complex issues to branch management immediately.
- Assist in opening new accounts and completing necessary regulatory compliance paperwork.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred).
- Strong mathematical skills and the ability to perform mental math quickly.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, customer-first attitude.
- Previous customer service experience is a plus but not mandatory for this trainee position.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must pass a background check and a credit check as required by federal banking regulations.
