Job Summary
As a Bank Teller Trainee, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while processing financial transactions accurately. You will act as a brand ambassador for the bank, ensuring a seamless banking experience for every client who walks through our doors.
Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately, including cash deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments, adhering to all regulatory compliance standards.
- Provide superior customer service by greeting customers warmly, resolving inquiries efficiently, and building lasting relationships.
- Identify and report suspicious activities, potential fraud, or internal theft to the compliance department immediately.
- Assist in the daily opening and closing procedures of the branch, including vault balancing and cash reconciliation.
- Utilize bank software systems to update customer accounts and track transaction history.
- Upsell and cross-sell bank products, such as credit cards, savings accounts, and mortgages, to meet branch performance goals.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure lobby environment for all visitors.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associateās degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of customer service, retail, or cash-handling experience is highly desirable.
- Strong mathematical skills with a proven track record of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse client demographics.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs as needed for branch operations.
- Must be willing to submit to a background check, credit check, and drug screening.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
