Responsibilities
- Process Transactions: Accurately handle cash deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and loan payments for customers with a focus on minimizing errors.
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, answer inquiries about bank products and services, and resolve issues promptly to ensure high satisfaction.
- Cash Management: Maintain accurate daily cash drawers, balance the Teller Summary at the end of the shift, and adhere to all regulatory compliance and security procedures.
- Product Sales: Identify opportunities to cross-sell our suite of financial products, including savings accounts, credit cards, and mortgages, to meet branch goals.
- Relationship Building: Build rapport with clients to understand their financial needs and refer them to the appropriate department for specialized services.
- Operational Support: Assist with opening new accounts, processing account closures, and maintaining a clean and organized teller line.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Finance or Business preferred.
- Experience: Previous customer service experience is highly valued; prior banking or cash-handling experience is a plus but not required for our Trainee program.
- Skills: Strong mathematical aptitude with the ability to count cash accurately and quickly.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; professional demeanor.
- Integrity: Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive financial information with the utmost confidentiality and ethical standards.
- Availability: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as required by branch needs.
