Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly and professionally, answering inquiries regarding bank products and services.
- Cash Handling: Accurately process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and cash checks while adhering to strict security protocols.
- Transaction Processing: Operate teller terminals and automated banking machines to perform daily banking transactions efficiently.
- Account Management: Assist customers with opening new accounts and maintaining existing ones, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
- Problem Resolution: Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly, escalating complex matters to the branch manager when necessary.
- Record Keeping: Balance daily cash drawers and reconcile reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Finance or Business preferred.
- Experience: Previous cash handling or customer service experience is a plus, but not required for the Trainee position.
- Skills: Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail; basic computer proficiency and typing skills.
- Attributes: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Regulatory: Must be able to pass a background check and a credit check as required by banking regulations.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
