Vortex Creative Labs is a forward-thinking agency at the intersection of art and technology. We are currently seeking a versatile 2D/3D Generalist to lead our visual production efforts in Los Angeles. In this role, you will be responsible for creating immersive 3D environments, character models, and dynamic motion graphics, as well as high-quality 2D assets and illustrations.
As a key member of our creative team, you will collaborate with directors and developers to push the boundaries of visual storytelling. We value creativity, technical proficiency, and a passion for delivering exceptional visual experiences across all platforms.
Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality 3D assets, textures, and environments using industry-standard software (Blender, Maya).
- Create and manipulate 2D assets, illustrations, and motion graphics using Photoshop and After Effects.
- Perform advanced lighting, shading, and rendering techniques to achieve photorealistic results.
- Optimize 3D models and 2D assets for web performance and seamless integration into projects.
- Mentor junior artists and establish best practices for asset management and workflow efficiency.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in 2D and 3D design, motion graphics, or digital art.
- Expert proficiency in Blender, Maya, Cinema 4D, and Photoshop/Illustrator.
- Strong working knowledge of rendering engines such as Redshift, Octane, or Arnold.
- Excellent understanding of color theory, composition, and anatomy.
- Experience with post-production compositing in After Effects.
