Responsibilities
- Analyze horizon-scanning data from biotech, AI, climate science, and social dynamics to identify disruptive forces
- Develop scenario-based strategic models for 2026 market conditions and regulatory environments
- Lead cross-functional workshops to embed future-thinking into product roadmaps
- Produce quarterly foresight briefings for executive decision-making
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and innovation labs
- Champion ethical frameworks for emerging technologies
- Manage a portfolio of moonshot projects with 5-year impact horizons
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or future studies
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field
- Published thought leadership on 2020s technology trends
- Proficiency in horizon scanning methodologies and scenario planning
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology)
- Experience building future-proof organizational structures
- Certification in Futures Thinking or equivalent (e.g., WFS certification)
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful long-term strategy implementations
