Responsibilities
- Lead R&D initiatives for 2026-era technologies including quantum-secure cryptography and neuro-adaptive interfaces
- Develop strategic technology roadmaps aligned with market projections and societal trends
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive innovations with 3-5 year commercialization potential
- Architect proof-of-concept systems for emerging domains like synthetic biology and advanced AI
- Present visionary frameworks to C-suite executives and external stakeholders
- Mentor junior engineers in futuristic design thinking and ethical tech development
Qualifications
- 10+ years in engineering with 5+ years in emerging technology or futurism roles
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, AI ethics, biotech integration, or sustainable systems
- Published research or patents in future-facing technologies (IEEE, Nature, etc.)
- Proven track record of launching products with 3+ year market impact
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Exceptional systems thinking and scenario planning capabilities
- Strong communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse audiences
