Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under supervision including vital signs monitoring, specimen collection, and EKG assistance
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and mobility support for diverse patient populations
- Maintain accurate patient documentation using electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Operate medical equipment including glucometers, nebulizers, and patient monitoring devices
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure seamless patient care transitions
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and infection control protocols
- Participate in weekend shift rotations and holiday coverage as scheduled
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- CPR/BLS certification (will be provided during training)
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong communication skills and empathy for diverse patient needs
- Basic computer literacy for EHR documentation
- Reliable transportation to weekend shifts in Boston
