Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during examinations and minor procedures
- Take vital signs and prepare patients for examinations
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and basic lab tests
- Manage patient records and maintain HIPAA compliance
- Administer medications under provider supervision
- Coordinate patient education and discharge planning
- Support clinic operations including inventory management
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- No prior medical experience necessary – training provided!
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn EMR systems
- Strong communication and empathy for diverse patients
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environments
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- CPR certification (training available if needed)
