- Develop and execute multi-year innovation roadmaps targeting 2026+ technological convergence points
- Lead horizon scanning for emerging trends (AI, quantum computing, biotech, climate tech)
- Facilitate 'Future Labs' with C-suite executives and external futurists
- Architect pilot programs for breakthrough technologies with $10M+ budgets
- Translate foresight insights into actionable product development frameworks
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and innovation hubs
- Mentor internal 'Future Scouts' and innovation accelerators
Qualifications
- 15+ years in strategic innovation or futurism with Fortune 500 experience
- Proven track record of launching transformative products/services
- Deep expertise in emerging tech ecosystems (AI/ML, Web3, synthetic biology)
- Published thought leadership in futurism/innovation (books, journals, keynotes)
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Innovation Management, or related field
- Proficiency in foresight methodologies (Delphi, Scenario Planning, Trend Impact Analysis)
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
