Responsibilities

- Lead cross-functional workshops to identify disruptive market opportunities for 2026
- Analyze patent landscapes and academic research to scout acquisition targets and partnerships
- Present strategic briefings to C-suite and board members quarterly
- Manage $5M+ R&D budget allocation for future-focused initiatives
- Build and lead a dedicated futurist team of 5-7 specialists
- Author annual 'Horizon Report' on technological tipping points
Qualifications
- 10+ years in corporate strategy, R&D, or venture capital with tech focus
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AI, biotech, clean energy)
- Proven track record of launching products/services with 3+ year lead times
- PhD or equivalent in STEM field with strong academic publications
- Experience presenting to executive audiences and securing board approvals
- Proficiency in scenario planning tools and trend analysis methodologies
- Portfolio demonstrating successful future-focused initiatives
- Authorization to work in the US without sponsorship
