The Role:
As a Bank Teller Trainee, you will be the face of Apex Community Bank. You will learn to manage customer transactions, maintain cash drawers, and provide exceptional service to our community members.
Responsibilities
- Learn Transaction Processing: Master the processing of deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and account transfers under supervision.
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, answer inquiries about bank products, and resolve issues efficiently.
- Cash Management: Accurately count and balance cash drawers daily and ensure compliance with security protocols.
- Product Promotion: Learn to identify cross-selling opportunities for savings accounts, credit cards, and loans.
- Administrative Tasks: Assist in maintaining branch cleanliness, organizing files, and updating customer records in our core banking systems.
- Compliance: Adhere to all banking regulations, KYC (Know Your Customer) policies, and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; some college coursework in finance or business preferred.
- Experience: Previous customer service or cash handling experience is a plus but not mandatory for the Trainee position.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, basic math proficiency, and excellent communication skills.
- Availability: Must be available to work a full-time schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Reliability: Must pass a background check and pre-employment screening.
- Technology: Comfortable learning new banking software and digital tools.
