Responsibilities
- Perform daily cash handling duties, including cashing checks, processing deposits, and withdrawals, ensuring strict accuracy and adherence to security protocols.
- Greet customers warmly and professionally, answering inquiries regarding accounts, products, and services to provide an exceptional banking experience.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) terminal and teller workstation efficiently to process transactions and balance daily work.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities to promote our savings accounts, loans, and credit card products to meet branch targets.
- Assist in maintaining the lobby and teller areas, ensuring a clean and organized environment for all members.
- Reconcile daily settlements and cash drawers at the end of the shift to ensure totals match system records.
- Process account openings and maintenance tasks for new and existing members with precision.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; completion of a banking or financial services certification program is a plus.
- Previous cash handling or customer service experience is preferred but not mandatory for our trainee program.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform basic arithmetic and mathematical calculations quickly and accurately.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
- Familiarity with computer systems and ability to learn new banking software quickly.
- Must pass a background check and credit check as required for financial institution employment.
