Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions including deposits, withdrawals, and transfers with 100% accuracy
- Deliver exceptional service to 30+ daily customers through active listening and problem-solving
- Uphold strict compliance protocols for KYC, AML, and fraud prevention standards
- Balance cash drawers and reconcile daily transactions using core banking systems
- Identify cross-sell opportunities for bank products and services
- Maintain secure handling of cash, checks, and sensitive customer information
- Participate in ongoing training modules to achieve full teller certification
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; college coursework in finance preferred
- Minimum 6 months cash handling experience (retail, hospitality, etc.)
- Exceptional attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Strong communication skills with ability to explain complex concepts simply
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office, point-of-sale systems)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs
- Must pass background check and credit check
- North Carolina residency required
