Responsibilities
- Greet and Welcome Customers: Provide a warm and professional greeting to every visitor and client entering the branch.
- Process Transactions: Accurately handle cash deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and loan payments using the core banking system.
- Cross-Sell Products: Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate financial products such as savings accounts, CDs, and credit cards.
- Customer Service: Resolve customer inquiries and complaints efficiently while maintaining a positive customer experience.
- Account Maintenance: Assist customers with account updates, balance inquiries, and form processing.
- Security Compliance: Adhere to all bank security policies, including Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Finance or Business preferred.
- Experience: Previous customer service experience is a plus; previous banking experience is not required for the trainee role.
- Skill Set: Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail with the ability to balance a cash drawer accurately.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse groups.
- Technical Proficiency: Basic computer skills and ability to learn banking software quickly.
- Availability: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
