Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging technologies (quantum AI, biocomputing, climate engineering) to forecast market disruptions by 2026
- Develop strategic foresight frameworks and scenario-planning models for 5-10 year horizons
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate future visions into R&D priorities
- Author whitepapers and trend reports for C-suite and board stakeholders
- Partner with venture capital arm to identify next-gen startups for acquisition
- Represent company at global futurism conferences (e.g., World Future Society, Singularity Summit)
Qualifications
- Master's or PhD in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or related quantitative field
- 5+ years in strategic planning or innovation consulting with Fortune 500 firms
- Published thought leadership on exponential technologies or societal megatrends
- Proficiency in horizon scanning tools (e.g., Delphi method, STEEP analysis)
- Experience with scenario planning frameworks (e.g., Shell's scenarios)
- Deep knowledge of AI ethics, neurotechnology governance, or climate policy
- Exceptional storytelling ability to communicate complex futures to diverse audiences
